GONE When Dallas Detective Dwayne Thompson checks out a missing persons apartment and finds it covered in blood, he’s launched into one of the strangest cases in his career–a case that he must solve without the victim’s body. Chasing a trail of clues, Thompson and the Dallas homicide team are always one step behind their suspect. Then, the search leads them to a wooded campsite where they find hanging vulture heads and samurai swords… but will they catch their man before he slips away again? …

The crime happen on the border line of Dallas & Carrolton but the county is Denton if the murder would have happen just two blocks down then Dallas county would have picked up the case up. Denton County Jail is a 5 star jail, but Dallas County is a negative 5 Star Jail LOL.

    continued from below…….

The task force, known as the Dallas Ft. Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team or DFW FAST, is a combination of diverse resources from participating Federal, state, and local agencies.

DFW FAST provides a mechanism for these resources from a variety of agencies to concentrate on a single goal: apprehending violent fugitives in the North Texas area and throughout the United States.

  • ChvyLov3 says:

Yes the US Marshals work for the courts … but i am betting that in this case the officers were apart of a special team known as DFW FAST… i have some information below from their website.

In January, 2004, the United States Marshals Service for the Northern District of Texas established a full time fugitive task force to target violent fugitives. …. continued

us marshal probably showed up due to the suspects military background. they probably had to contact them.

  • slub66 says:

USMS work for courts. Usually they track down fugitives, serve arrest warrants for courts and stuff like that. I think in this case it was just more convinient for them to ask marshalls for help, than to work whole procedure with local police (but it’s just my guess). They do have uniforms, but in this case guys didn’t wear it.

  • cincinnatikate says:

i believe without using my Google, they are above local police and have Nationwide jurisdiction. They dont wear a uniform and carry many weapons and take top priority. Did this case cross stste lines? (I know the accused switched counties in this episode, but I didnt think he left the initial state of the crime.)

What is a US marshall, what do they do thats different than police?

  • cincinnatikate says:

why would US marshalls show up? that seems weird…
