i think the guy dont even love her..it reminds me of an old version of a humiliated wife and a jerk husband.. and of course a manipulated husband

I LOVE that blue dress, my favorite. I want it.

Yes, Theresa was the first choice. Everyone pretty much accepts that the coven probably put a spell on her and it made her jump out the window. I support that theory because of Roman and Minnie conveniently being away when she jumped. Or maybe she could have jumped because she was terrified. Some think she was already pregnant and told.. because Minnie mentions to Rosemary she was cremated, and pretty quick.

So when Ruth Gordon says in Rosemary’s dream: I told you not to tell her in advance, she wouldn’t be that openminded!…is she refering to Theresa and hoping SHE would carry the devil’s baby first rather than Rosemary? Is that why Theresa jumped from the window rather than be forced to carry the Devil’s baby? and Ruth Gordon says: Now we have to start from scratch! setting their sights on Rosemary? Creepy.

Yes, the apartments are monstrously huge. I’ve never in my life seen anything like it.

  • gustavruo says:

Excellent cast, especially Gordon and Farrow

  • 7beers says:

I think you should just kill her.

  • 7beers says:

    This was the 60s.

  • 7beers says:

People: if you like Ruth Gordon in this, you MUST check out a movie called Where’s Poppa?

  • iBebe09 says:

the granny eats like a pig LOL its so off putting i would NEVER ask her for seconds ;P

  • judyrusso says:

@RunsWithScissorsxx Yes Maude was played by Ruth Gordon. She was great in this movie. Although in real life I would run like hell from someone like that

  • cardona89 says:

the whole scene is pure acting master class!!! never seen anything like it!!! she is marvelous!!!

  • VictorMWolf says:

    “Baltimore is a good city.”

They haven’t been there recently, obviously.

    Great movie!

  • 321womble says:

I love their sitting room, the way Roman’s arm chair is all the way over the other side of the room…….

  • GRSERS says:

    lmfao

  • Mandi7882 says:

I swear, and nosy middle aged biddie just like this moved in next door in our apartment building. She is the nosiest person alive. Sadly, I had to curse her butt out to tell her my business is not hers. Rosemary and Guy should have done the same thing …and this movie would have been only 5 minutes long. ;)

  • mexluver05 says:

Yes Minnie is Maude. Ruth Gordon.

  • RunsWithScissorsxx says:

Does anyone know if the actress who plays Minnie plays Maude in “Harold and Maude”?

  • scaryflakybiscuits says:

I love when Rosemary turns round and sees the smoke blowing across the room. It’s so ominous.

  • hayamatsuka says:

rosemary reminds me of twiggy a bit in that floral yellow dress

  • monjo08 says:

also, how Minnie doesn’t even say “oh my God” when she first walks into the Woodhouse’s living room @ 9:49…she says something like, “oh my Guin” instead, so as not to acknowledge the existence of God

  • monjo08 says:

and did anyone else notice how Minnie was checking the dates on all the cans when she first visited Rosemary? probably to make sure she wasn’t eating anything out of date so she would be in perfect health to deliver the devil’s baby? so many little hints early on…so clever!!! u really don’t find such smart movie-making nowadays…

  • Bombeni says:

Haha, thanks. I still remember in the movie when the doorbell rang, it was a real tense moment, my cousin said out loud “Avon calling” and everyone laughed.
