He’s more than that…
Guy’s such an ass
I just noticed that Mia Garrow with her hair short looks strikingly like Natalie Portman. Interesting.
I really do love her outfits though.
@AmericanEvita Roman is a GREATdirector, no doubt about that but is he a sicko. I do feel bad for him being in the holocaust then losing his wife and unborn baby the way that he did. But him and Woody deserve each other.. Woody was vouching for Roman’s release after all.
No…just a supporter of women.
I like it when women walk around with no bras. Does that make me a supporter of women’s lib?
i am not casavetes are really meant to be satanists the film means a lot of things in a symbolical way.
Stop it! Poor Polanski..give him a break. Why aren’t they as hard on Woody Allen who slept with his adopted daughter with Mia Farrow ? Polanski as a director was brilliant, especially in the 60′s and early 70′s. The ritual thing was not research made by Polanski himself. It was all in the Ira Levin book. The witches killing babies for blood rituals was a myth and part of the fear/hatred of Pagans, Gypsies, Wiccans, etc in early colonial America. It fit for this movie because it’s horror
when Rosemary talks about the rituals and blood there was a truth there through the research that’s been done on Satanism. Since Polanski wrote the script do you think that he was exposing a lot of what goes on in rituals? Maybe an insider’s point of view?
I have often wondered about Polanski. There’s been a lot exposed about him such as the paedophile charges a few years ago involving the 13 year old girl.
Wow! Did anyone notice when Guy put the book on the book shelf, He put it directly on top of the book Yes I Can! by Sammy Davis Jr. Sammy Davis jr was a member of Aton LaVey’s church of Satan.
Mia plays this so well, but every now and then I swear she seems to have a British accent. Must be all the upper crust schools she went to.
It’s the 60′s. The women’s movement didn’t really hit in 1973. Ya know, burn the bra, freedom from the husband and household, moving up the corporate ladder, and no more “obey” in wedding vows. No more baby doll dresses, no more waif looks. No more trophy to men- unless she wanted to be. Women began to be…whatever they wanted. And it was confusing to many as listening to the hubby was the norm.
2001, a Space Odyssey has similar music.
She listens to Guy wayyy too much.
Why the fuck would she go to the doctor!? hes their best friend for gods sake!
They are MOD from the 60′s. I see you have good taste! I like the little baby-doll dresses! I am a FASHIONISTA!!!
She’s so beautiful, every single dress she wears looks awesome on her =) Typical 60s style !
Same, I keep raving about them!
Actually alot of bands began to use them, most notably black sabbath
I love the dresses she wears in this movie.
Yeah, that’s pretty cool , like in “The Omen” , choirs always work in horror movies!
my bad, the point where the gothic choir music starts is 2:12, not 0:12.
0:12 awesome gothic choir music. with a high-pitched “stab” note at the end. this is modern horror music, not like most ’60s horror movie music. this was advanced for its time. the early ’70s didn’t have much modern horror movie music, either.
